Why I started Florida Tap Report

I work in residential water filtration, and homeowners ask me questions about their water every day: Why does it look yellow? Is the smell normal? What does the city report really mean? Is this a problem throughout the utility—or only inside my home?

I started Florida Tap Report to give Floridians clear, useful answers before they feel pressured to buy anything. The goal is simple: find the best available public information, explain it in everyday language and help people understand what they should do next.

My name is on every article because I believe readers should know who is responsible for the information they are reading. When an important fact changes, I update the story. When I make a material correction, I show it.

Experience and disclosure

I am the owner and operator of Florida Premier Water Systems, a residential water-treatment company. Florida Tap Report and Florida Premier have common ownership. I disclose that relationship because earning trust means being open about how the publication and service business are connected.

I am not a government official, physician or laboratory scientist. Health, regulatory and treatment claims are attributed to qualified primary sources such as utilities, public-health agencies, the EPA, Florida DEP, USGS and recognized certification organizations.

What readers can expect

  • Direct links to the most important sources.
  • Clear separation between confirmed facts and unanswered questions.
  • Corrections shown openly when a material fact changes.
  • No claim that one utility sample represents every property.
  • No equipment recommendation based on appearance alone.
