Beverly Beach and Eagle Lakes schedule free-chlorine treatment November 4–24
FGUA says its Beverly Beach and Eagle Lakes water systems will temporarily receive free-chlorine disinfection and flushing beginning November 4, with the change scheduled to end on the morning of November 24.
The two notices describe routine distribution maintenance. They do not instruct customers to boil water or announce a contamination finding. A separate utility advisory, if issued, would carry its own instructions.
Which customers are covered?
- FGUA Beverly Beach Water System: public water system number 218-0002.
- FGUA Eagle Lakes Water System: public water system number 218-4268.
Check the system on your water bill. These FGUA notices do not establish the schedule for every Flagler County address. FGUA attributes the supply-treatment change to the City of Palm Coast; broader Palm Coast customer coverage has not been independently confirmed for this article.
What might change at the tap?
Free chlorine temporarily replaces chloramine. FGUA says customers may notice chlorine taste or smell, cloudiness, discoloration, air at fixtures or brief pressure variations. Follow FGUA's guidance and contact the utility if a concern persists. The utility also notes possible laundry discoloration.
Special uses need advance attention
Home dialysis users should ask their medical provider about disinfectant removal. Aquarium owners should use treatment suited to both free chlorine and chloramine and follow specialist guidance.
For utility questions, FGUA lists 904-990-1441. Confirm any changed dates or separate warnings with FGUA.
Verified October 21, 2026 against FGUA's current index and both notices. The notices do not display an announcement date or exact start hour. November 4–the morning of November 24 is the announced schedule; completion has not occurred.
