What did the verified SID report show?
SID states that its drinking water met federal, state and local regulations and standards.
HAA5 was 28.4 ppb against a 60 ppb limit; TTHM was 40.7 ppb against an 80 ppb limit.
One of 40 June 2024 taps exceeded 15 ppb at a school fixture beyond SID’s point of service. The report marks the system action level as not exceeded.
Palm Beach County UCMR5 supplier data included PFOS and PFOA detections. The SID report did not present them as a current Westlake violation.
Why search results can get Westlake wrong
A city-name lookup can attach Westlake to a small unrelated public water system. The verified Westlake provider is Seminole Improvement District, which purchases treated water from Palm Beach County Water Utilities. Starting with the wrong system can produce the wrong population, contaminant table, phone number and treatment conclusion.
Why one home can differ from the report
SID’s annual report summarizes regulated monitoring. A first-draw sample at one fixture may also reflect the service connection, premise plumbing, stagnation, a water heater or installed equipment. One unusual tap result does not establish a citywide condition, and system compliance cannot rule out every address-specific issue.
