— TITUSVILLE WATER • PLANNED TREATMENT CHANGE
Titusville plans temporary free-chlorine treatment October 3–30
City of Titusville water customers may notice chlorine odor or slight taste or color changes during scheduled maintenance October 3–30, 2026.
- The City says drinking water remains safe for household use.
- This scheduled treatment change is not a boil-water notice.
- Confirm your utility on the water bill; a Titusville mailing address alone does not establish the provider.
What is changing?
Titusville will temporarily stop adding ammonia, use free chlorine instead of its normal chloramine distribution treatment, and flush hydrants. The City says it will not increase chlorine residuals and will return to normal treatment after maintenance.
Special-use precautions and questions
The City advises dialysis patients and immunocompromised residents to consult their healthcare provider. Aquarium and pond owners should ask an aquatic professional whether their water treatment needs adjustment.
For utility guidance, call Titusville’s Chlorine Dosing Hotline: 321-567-3878.
If you lose pressure or an unusual condition persists, contact the utility and check its current notices before assuming scheduled maintenance explains the problem.
