The short answer
  1. Begin with Palm Beach County Water Utilities’ Eastern Region report, then confirm the provider on the first bill or closing documents.
  2. The County’s 2025 report lists zero water-quality violations for the eastern system.
  3. A brand-new home still needs a documented plumbing and treatment handover; “new” is not a water-test result.

— CHOOSE THE RIGHT NEXT STEP

What do you need to know about this Valencia Del Mar home?

Public utility information stays available without contact information. Choose the path that matches the question you are trying to answer.

Health concern? Lead, PFAS, bacteria and other health-related questions require the correct certified laboratory method. A field check does not replace laboratory analysis. For sudden neighborhood-wide changes, check current utility notices first.

Which utility report applies?

Palm Beach County’s zoning review for the underlying Gulfstream Polo Properties development states that water and wastewater capacity would be reserved through Palm Beach County Water Utilities. The County also states that its utility serves unincorporated areas. Valencia Del Mar’s Boynton Beach mailing label should not be used to select the City’s report.

Use the bill as the final authority.

Planning records establish the intended provider, but residents should confirm the utility account before applying system-level results to an address. Similar mailing addresses can belong to different water systems.

What did Palm Beach County report?

System status

The 2025 report states that the eastern system had zero water-quality violations.

Chlorine and chloramines

The reported value was 3.04 ppm against the 4 ppm maximum residual disinfectant level.

HAA5 and TTHM

HAA5 was 30.35 ppb against a 60 ppb limit; TTHM was 40.63 ppb against an 80 ppb limit.

Lead and copper

The report lists system sampling, but plumbing and fixtures can change metals at one home’s tap after water leaves the public system.

Why this community deserves a new-home checklist

GL Homes introduced Valencia Del Mar in March 2025 and continues to display decorated models and actively market new homes. New construction creates a specific verification window: the builder, plumber and equipment installer are still identifiable, warranties are active, and baseline conditions can be documented before a homeowner changes the system.

That makes early testing useful—but it does not justify assuming the water is poor or selling every buyer the same equipment package.

Complete these checks before accepting water treatment

Confirm the provider

Match the bill to Palm Beach County Water Utilities before using the County report.

Locate the untreated sample

Identify where to sample incoming cold water before any builder-installed equipment.

Inspect faucet aerators

Construction and plumbing work can leave debris that affects flow or appearance at individual fixtures.

Document installed equipment

Record the valve, media, capacity, settings, bypass position, startup date and warranty.

Separate irrigation

Confirm whether irrigation, reclaimed water or another source is isolated from indoor potable plumbing.

Measure performance

When equipment is present, compare relevant before-and-after measurements instead of assuming installation equals performance.

How can the utility report and the home tap both be accurate?

They measure different scopes. Regulatory sampling describes the public system under prescribed rules. A property test describes water at a particular sample point after distribution, premise plumbing, stagnation, the water heater and installed equipment have had an opportunity to affect it.

A different result at one fixture does not automatically mean the County report is wrong. It also does not mean the homeowner’s observation should be dismissed. The correct response is to isolate where the difference begins.

Diagnose before prescribing.

A softener addresses measured hardness. Carbon can address disinfectant taste and selected compounds when properly designed. Reverse osmosis is normally a point-of-use technology for dissolved-substance reduction. None of them fixes every water concern.
