The 2025 report states that the eastern system had zero water-quality violations.
The reported value was 3.04 ppm against the 4 ppm maximum residual disinfectant level.
HAA5 was 30.35 ppb against a 60 ppb limit; TTHM was 40.63 ppb against an 80 ppb limit.
The report lists system sampling, but plumbing and fixtures can change metals at one home’s tap after water leaves the public system.

Why this community deserves a new-home checklist
GL Homes introduced Valencia Del Mar in March 2025 and continues to display decorated models and actively market new homes. New construction creates a specific verification window: the builder, plumber and equipment installer are still identifiable, warranties are active, and baseline conditions can be documented before a homeowner changes the system.
That makes early testing useful—but it does not justify assuming the water is poor or selling every buyer the same equipment package.
Complete these checks before accepting water treatment
Match the bill to Palm Beach County Water Utilities before using the County report.
Identify where to sample incoming cold water before any builder-installed equipment.
Construction and plumbing work can leave debris that affects flow or appearance at individual fixtures.
Record the valve, media, capacity, settings, bypass position, startup date and warranty.
Confirm whether irrigation, reclaimed water or another source is isolated from indoor potable plumbing.
When equipment is present, compare relevant before-and-after measurements instead of assuming installation equals performance.
How can the utility report and the home tap both be accurate?

A different result at one fixture does not automatically mean the County report is wrong. It also does not mean the homeowner’s observation should be dismissed. The correct response is to isolate where the difference begins.
A softener addresses measured hardness. Carbon can address disinfectant taste and selected compounds when properly designed. Reverse osmosis is normally a point-of-use technology for dissolved-substance reduction. None of them fixes every water concern.
